CALLING ALL COWGIRLS AND COWBOYS!!
A saddle certificate will be awarded to the Youth member with the highest number of points earned throughout the 2024 year’s Historic Saddle Club activities. Participating by either preparing for, helping during, cleaning up, or competing in Historic Saddle Club events earns the member points. RULES: Must be a current Historic Saddle Club family member in good standing to start earning points. Ambassador must be 18 or under as of January 1, 2024, there is no minimum age.

EARNING: Helping and competing are separate point-earning activities during an event. i.e. you can earn one (1) point for helping and one (1) point for competing for and having fun. To earn the helping point you need to sign-up with the Event point of contact (usually can be found on the information flier)! Any Historic Saddle Club Board Member or Event Point of Contact for the event you helped with will verify your efforts via the sign-up board. Signing up and helping during, cleaning up in the event counts for one (1) point. Competing in the event in any category or class counts as one (1) point even if it is just a single entry. Again, only two points can be awarded per event one (1) Helping and one (1) Competing. ACTIVITIES: Point events include but are not limited to the following: Egg Scramble, Clinics, Clean-Up days, Gymkhanas, Horse shows, Youth and Beginner Ranch Sorts, 4-H (in-door and/or out-door meetings), Trail Rides, Royalty contest (helping or competing), Parades, Working Equitation, and Roping Practices. JACKPOT Exception: *No points will be awarded for participation in Jackpotted events. Any event with a cash payout does not count; however, helping with the event such as pushing cattle, setting barrels, or opening gates, will count. Competing in the Amateur and Open Ranch Sorts categories and all Run & Rope events do not count, helping with them does! EXAMPLE: Again, nominees can earn points by signing up, competing, and helping with Historic Saddle Club events. Some days many have multiple events, allowing the multiple points to be earned. For example; One (1) point can be earned by helping at clean-up day, on the same day there will be a fun Egg Scramble, one (1) point can be earned by competing in the scramble, and one (1) point for helping with the scramble. A total of three (3) points can be earned for this fun day. TIES: Ambassador point ties will be handled with a draw for the certificate. Don’t forget to get your nomination for the year-end Ambassador Saddle certificate.
